1. Category Analysis/Selection

With feedback from our esteemed judges, senior editorial members review and update categories annually to properly reflect changes in industry best practices, priorities and trends. We set requirements for detailed data, metrics and examples to help ensure the individuals, teams, organizations and projects selected honor the absolute best that the industry has to offer.

2. Ensuring A Diverse Slate of Entrants

Credit Union Times works to ensure that this award honors the very best in the industry, and the only way to do that is to ensure that we receive an array of relevant nominations that represent diverse backgrounds, geographies and organization types. We leverage the Credit Union Times community in an effort to assure that a broad swath of the industry is aware of and participating in these recognitions.

3. Nomination Review Process

In correspondence with the recognition’s criteria, our senior editors possessing decades of market knowledge and expertise review all submissions without bias before presenting a shortlist to our esteemed judging panel. Out of hundreds of nominations, a smaller percentage of candidates are selected as finalists.

4. Judging

The shortlist is presented to an independent panel of industry experts to select the 2024 winners. The judges are extremely knowledgeable within the field, and they in no way directly compete with the work that is being judged. We require all judges to announce any conflicts and exclude themselves from categories where they feel bias may occur.

5. Recognition

Once the 2024 Luminaries finalists have been notified of their selection, they will be revealed on CUTimes.com in early September. The 2024 Luminaries winners will be announced and honored with awards live on stage at the 3rd annual Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards dinner in Orlando, Fla. on November 7th, 2024. The winners will also be profiled in year-round coverage on CUTimes.com starting in November, and they will receive additional recognition via Credit Union Times’ social channels and email newsletters.
